Rent Reporting
This program was designed for the main purpose of helping individuals establish credit
without having to resort to high interest loans or credit cards. For most people, a person’s
rent payment is the single largest payment they make each month, yet it is not used in the
calculation of a persons credit score.
A Landlord Verification Report can help you:
- Establish and strengthen your credit history
- Add the important missing link to you credit report
- Show your future landlords or lenders your good tenant history
- Prove you are financially stable, aware and responsible
- Prove to banks and creditors you deserve all types of loans
- Act as undisputable proof and a record of your residency!
- Establish a positive credit reference
- Prove your tenant history
- Help qualify you for your first home!
Doesn't my landlord already report to the credit bureaus?
Unfortunately, rent payments are not reported to the agencies. It is a common misconception
that many people have since a failure to pay rent would be reported to your credit report that
the positive payments you make are too. This is not the case. The only need they have is to
report any negative activity in default of an agreement. Our program gives you have the ability
to change that and make sure that the most valuable thing about you financially gets reported.
This helps potential lenders to see that you are financially responsible and in the case of
having no credit can help you in starting out.
Will this impact my Credit score?
Making your "rent payments" can only improve your credit rating score. Rent payments will
serve to strengthen your credit profile and will allow you to display your historic financial
responsibility.
How much will my score improve?
Part of your score depends on the type of account, history, frequency, and timeliness of your
payments - the more the better.
Does this guarantee me a loan or credit?
By showing your history of on-time rent payments, you will be viewed in a more positive
manner with regard to future credit and loans. However, each situation is different and
lenders each have different criteria, so we cannot guarantee that a potential lender will extend
you credit.
What if I move?
Not a problem! We can switch your reporting account to another address. A change of
address fee will apply.
Is this considered third party reporting?
No. Every member is part of a tenant network. Our provider handles all payment data and
collection in case of default of your lease contract. We have the ability to guarantee our
landlords of any loss in case of your default through a "Secure A Lease" Option provided by
our partners.
Is this legal?
Yes! It is your information, and it's verified, cross-checked, and accurately added to your
profile. You deserve the ability to let people know the good about you, too - like the fact that
you can support a monthly rent payment, and that you pay on time.
How long does it take to show up on my credit report?
Usually, a normally verified member sees their first rent payment on their credit report within
30 to 60 days of rent verification. Then, your updates happen once a month. We will send you
an email each time your information has been successfully uploaded to the Bureaus.
How will I know if there is a problem?
We keep track of everything for you. If we are having trouble verifying you or your information,
we will contact you directly. We will also contact you if we have trouble processing your
information with the Bureau, or if we have a problem with your monthly verifications. Rest
assured, problems are rare - but if it happens, we take action. We have real people
investigating all problems - we do the legwork and keep you notified.
Can I Cancel?
Yes. We are here to serve you. If you want to cancel your reporting at anytime with us you can.
However, remember that the longer your payments are reported, the better your credit report
will look to future landlords and lenders.
